Guilty of assault, drugs, weapons
IN custody waiting for his matters to be dealt with by the courts, Nigel Learmonth pleaded guilty to charges in relation to an illicit drug lab found by police in a shed at Jones Hill on May 23.
Learmonth, 29, had the drug matters adjourned until October 25 for a guilty plea and had additional charges of stalking, sexual assault, deprivation of liberty, common assault and possession of weapons and explosives set down for mention on September 6.
It was alleged Learmonth had operated a methylamphetamine drug lab at McIntosh Creek Road and held a woman against her will on the premises before fleeing the area, allegedly in possession of weapons. Learmonth was located by Redcliffe police a couple of weeks later and was remanded in custody.
In another custody matter, a black-eyed Renee Fox made bail this week after serving a month in pre-sentence custody, charged with stalking. Fox was originally granted bail on the provision she paid a surety of $5000.
Gympie Magistrates Court heard Fox was unable to come up with the money and Magistrate Maxine Baldwin relaxed the provisions with the condition Fox resided with her daughter at Banora Point, Tweed Heads. The matter was adjourned to October 11.
