Growers urged to get produce entries in for Gympie Show

THE 125th Gympie Show is closer and organisers are after more entries for the fruit and vegetable pavilion.

Stewards are hoping for a bumper crop of entries across all categories but are particularly after more produce grown by commercial growers to display at the show.

Gympie landscaper and bean grower Martin Wilson has joined forces with Rainbow Ocean Palms Resort to give one lucky commercial entrant a luxury holiday at Rainbow Beach worth $598.

All they have to do to be in the running to win the holiday is enter.

Mr Wilson said there were more than 50 different small-crop growers in the region and he would love to see them all enter the show to promote the region's farmers.

He urged everyone to enter produce in the show.

To enter just go the Gympie Show website and follow the links.

Entries need to be in by May 15 at 10.30am.

The Gympie Show runs from Thursday May 16, to Saturday May 18.

Tickets available at Goldfields and Southside Towncentre.
