Goodman seeks a perfect game

GYMPIE veteran Tony Goodman says early retirement and golf are a winning combination.

Goodman carded a nett 66 to win last Wednesday’s B Grade monthly medal.

“I had the opportunity to retire early and needed a challenge so I decided to get serious about improving my golf game,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ray Rigbye won the A Grade monthly medal with a nett 61, seven shots clear of runner up Lindsay Taylor.

Greg Gooding was the B Grade runner up with a nett 70.

Last Wednesday, members also played the final round of the Gympie Veterans Age Championship.
