Golfers chip in for war widows

GUNABUL Par 3 Social Club handed over $2650 to Legacy yesterday following a successful charity golf day.

Organisers Bill Nolan and Brad Richards thanked the event’s sponsors, saying the money would go toward helping the Gympie region’s 240 war widows and dependant children.

Gympie Legacy chairperson Joan Ferguson said the money was wonderful and thanked the golfers for their support over the Anzac weekend.
