Gold rush laughter

DULCIE Dyne says highlighting a performance for this week's Lady Mayoress Gold Rush Concert is impossible because all artists involved are so good.

"Everyone is so talented," the mayoress said.

"We have a choir, a band, some solo singing performances, dancing and of course a smattering of humour throughout the evening.

"It would be unfair to single out particular performers because they are all so good.

"Come along, see and hear for yourself and enjoy the night."

The 2011 Lady Mayoress Gold Rush Concert will be held in the Gympie Civic Centre at 7pm on Thursday. The Miners Bar will be open from 6pm and the evening concludes with supper and the drawing of the raffles.

Tony Kishawi is director for the evening, the lively Andrew Newton is MC and there will be laughter, music, songs and dance to follow.

The night promises to be entertaining with a diverse range of acts and performers, showing off what fabulous talent we have within our midst.

Tickets are very affordably priced at $15/$12 and are available from Foxy Lady, 72-74 Mary St.
