Gold Rush golf fundraiser on this Sunday

GOLF: The National Australia Bank and the Gympie Gold Rush Committee are calling on teams for a charity golf day at Gympie Pines this Sunday.

Apart from lots of fun and enjoying great company, for the first time the NAB Gympie Gold Rush Golf Day fundraiser has the added bonus that the winning team gets to pick who will benefit.

National Australia Bank will give $250 to a Gympie charity as part of the day.

As well as some attractive NAB products such as quality golf balls, bags, umbrellas, etc, as prizes on the day, the winning team will be able to pick from a list of charities, to receive the $250.

Sally Burton, manager of the National Australia Bank in Mary St, said the bank had "proudly" supported this Gold Rush fundraiser activity for three years.

"Most golfers I know just enjoy their golf, but this year NAB wants to also further support the wider community," Burton said...

"A donation from NAB of one thousand dollars to a charity selected by the winning team is a further win/win situation.

"I'm calling on all golfers in the district to organise themselves in team of four and make this day a success."

The golf and fun starts at 8am at the Gympie Pines Golf Club. A barbecue lunch is included in the price and money raised on the day will go towards the Gold Rush Festival. To book ring Jan on 0413 022 318 or Mark at the Golf Club on 5481 2795.
