Glastonbury CWA goes into recess

CALLING all past and present members, and their families, of Glastonbury QCWA.

Sunday June 10 is the date and 2pm is the time to be at the Glastonbury Hall in Gympie Woolooga Road, to attend a very special afternoon tea in recognition of their 66th year and to say thank-you for a job well done.

The Glastonbury branch of the Qld Country Women's Association began in June 1946 and has served its community well, raising funds and lending a helping hand through fires and floods, through trying times and always with a ready smile.

With the branch going into recess after their annual general meeting next month the current members wanted to celebrate the group's anniversary with the people who mattered; the women and their families who were members and who helped the branch over the last 60 plus years.

Anyone interested in attending can contact Coral Stancombe on 5481 1368 or Wendy Turner on 5484 9196 for further details or just turn up on the day with a plate to share with past and present members.
