Albrecht receives Fellowship Award

GYMPIE South Lions Club member Gary Albrecht has been presented with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for his outstanding contribution to his club and community.

The presentation was a highlight of the club’s 30th changeover dinner in the RSL Club Orchid Room, where the induction of the incoming president and board of directors was performed by District Governor Helen Schellback.

Heading into another big year for Gympie South Lions Club are incoming officers: President Geoff Blackburn, vice-president Dudley Fisher, secretary Patricia Parkinson, treasurer Joan Albrecht and seven other Lions members.

During the dinner meeting, outgoing president Dudley Fisher made substantial donations to many worthy local organisations on behalf of the club.
