Gympie gallery to host Cancer Council biggest morning tea

FRIENDS of the Gympie Regional Gallery are hosting a fun-filled Australia's Biggest Morning Tea on Saturday, June 6, to raise money for the Cancer Council.

Featuring a wearable art fashion parade, the morning will include colourful handmade and up-cycled designs made by local artists and craftspeople.

With the theme of the day as Mad Hatters Tea Party, guests are encouraged to wear their own arty outfits and there will be prizes for the most beautiful and creative hat.

There will also be an exhibit of decorated jeans and bras at the front of the gallery which will add a bit of fun to the day with entries such as the Sydney Op'Bra House.

A $5 entry fee donation includes a scrumptious morning tea, feel free to bring a plate of goodies to share with others.

Come along and bring your friends. Festivities start at 10.30am with an official opening by Arts and Cultural Ambassador Cindy Vogels.

Inquiries Maxene 0402 314 325 or the gallery 5481 0733.
