Former Gladstone radio host takes on American rapper
AN American rapper has called Australian crowds "violent and belligerent" after former Gladstone radio host Paul 'Browny' Brown commented on her Splendour in the Grass set at the weekend.
Browny, who used to work for HOT FM in Gladstone, tweeted, "Hey everyone let's say Congratulations to @AZEALIABANKS for completing her first ever full Australian concert @SITG. Spewin I missed it".
Azealia Banks is well-known for not finishing her live performances in Australia, after she walked off stage 90 seconds in to her Listen Out performance.
She replied to Browny, "I simply will not put my safety at risk. I would've walked off stage had someone thrown something."
He later tweeted back, mocking her small crowds at the festival.
"The energy you'll get from us is nothing in comparison to the US crowds," he wrote.
Browny moved from Gladstone to Brisbane in April after he scored a gig at Triple M.
