Flegg: It was the Nationals in LNP who dumped me
DUMPED member for Moggill Bruce Flegg said his fate was decided by a National Party core in the LNP executive, and has warned government skirmishes with the health and legal sectors may make the seat more vulnerable come the state election.
Dr Flegg was told on Friday afternoon he would not be endorsed as the party's candidate in 2015, despite representing the seat for 10 years.
Former president of the Australian Medical Association Queensland Dr Christian Rowan is believed to be the party executive's preferred replacement.
Dr Flegg said the Moggill branch had been locked out of having a say on their next candidate.
"Other than Christian Rowan I'm not aware of any other nominations," he said.
