Firies conduct hazard reduction burn in Pomona
THREE Rural Fire Service Queensland and National Parks and Wildlife crews are conducting a hazard reduction burn in Tuchekoi National Park in the vicinity of Jampot Creek Road and Kellehers Rd, Pomona, today.
The 39ha burn is generating smoke in the area, which may affect visibility and motorists are reminded to drive to conditions and be mindful of emergency services vehicles operating in the area.
Residents suffering from respiratory illnesses are advised to keep medication on hand. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call 000 immediately.
