Father and son team tastes victory

FATHER and son team Gerard and Liam Dunbar celebrated Australia Day with a win in the four ball, best ball medley stableford event at Gympie Pines Golf Club on Tuesday.

The pair played excellent team golf to score 51 points winning narrowly on a countback from Bill Swan and Ken Dickfos.

Prior to the golf getting underway players tucked into a hearty lamb chop barbecue prepared by Ronny Scott.

Gympie Pines Club Captain Gavin Jensen said he was delighted that members had responded so positively to the day.

“I’d also like to thank Neal’s Family Meats and Fisherman’s Haul for their trophies and generous support” he said.
