Fashion tips hat to Black Caviar

COLOURS of Australia's top racehorse, Black Caviar, is the theme for fashions of the field at tomorrow's Gympie RSL Club Cup.

The undefeated thoroughbred is racing at Ascott on Saturday and Gympie fashions of the field organisers decided to include an extra category to honour the world-class horse.

Fashions of the field is always a race day hit and fashionistas, both male and female, are invited to dress in Black Caviar colours - black and salmon - for a chance to win extra prizes.

While the usual categories; best dressed gent, best dressed couple, ladies classic and young contemporary race- wear, are expected to draw a large number of entries, the special Black Caviar category has been included for "something a little bit different", organisers say.

The event is sponsored by Centro Gympie and a number of the centre's retail outlets.

Cash prizes of $150 for winners and $100 for runners-up are up for grabs, as well as $50 vouchers to spend at Noni B, Autograph, Lowes Menswear, Spendless Shoes and Fashion Fair.

Enter on the day near the stage before 2pm.

All finalists go into the draw to win $3000 cash at the end of the racing season.
