POMONA Railway Station Gallery is on track for the opening of two new exhibitions this month.
Music, Modrian & Me, an exhibition by Pomona artist Dan Truscott, will be opening in the Carriage on Saturday, November 19 with Bar Graham's Unusual opening the following Saturday, November 26, in the newly renovated Banana Shed.
A life-long practitioner in the visual arts, Dan Truscott has studied printmaking, painting, sculpture and furniture design and has taught and worked in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
His work has been exhibited in many group shows and is represented in private collections in Australia, Malaysia, Britain and the USA.
In 2009 Dan and his wife Jocelyn moved from Western Victoria and have settled in Pomona.
This is his third solo exhibition and his first in Queensland.
Unusual is a collection of acrylic and mixed media paintings by Tinbeerwah artist Bar Graham who is exhibiting solo for the first time since completing a degree in visual arts in 2015.
Bar describes herself as a totally unrealistic artist; "There might appear to be a story line but this is unintentional. The viewer is free to see whatever they see and understand in anyway they wish”.
Pomona Railway Station Gallery at 10 Station St, Pomona, is open 10am-4pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm Saturday and Sunday. More information at www.pomonartgallery.com.
