Gympie hosts events for all ages
IF you have ever said there's nothing for young people to do in Gympie, it's time to take it back.
Gympie Regional Council's vibrant Youth and Community Development Office has organised two awesome events for all-ages, the first a Movies 'til Midnight movie marathon run in conjunction with Sovereign Cinema.
This is the seventh Movies 'til Midnight session featuring three latest release, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3, The Muppets and The Adventures of Tintin.
Screening commences at 6pm tomorrow night.
The first film to be shown will be Alvin and the Chipmunks 3.
Cost is $20 and tickets are available from the cinema.
The long-awaited UX11 event for the launch of the new-look Noise Magazine finally gets underway tomorrow, depending on the weather.
This event was postponed from early December because of the wet weather.
Fingers crossed the rain goes away so the Skate, BMX and All-wheel devices Competition can begin.
Pro skaters from Drawing Boards will conduct at workshop from 1pm, followed by a proskate demo at 3pm, and the competition at 4pm.
Local original progressive rock band Kymira will be performing live on the Sound Shell stage from 6pm for the event's grand finale.
This is a free event put on by Gympie Regional Council for the community to celebrate the new-look and the relaunch of The Noise Magazine.
You can pick up your copy of Issue 1, Rebirth at various retail outlets in Mary St or at the skate park in Nelson Reserve, Saturday.
