Evening with Stefan will be grand

ONE of Australia's finest pianists will put Gympie's new grand piano through its paces at a special concert on Friday, February 17.

Considered one of the country's most talented young artists, Stefan Cassomenos has performed concertos with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, the Melbourne University Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Strings of Melbourne.

His compositions, written when he was 14 years old, have been performed by the symphony orchestras of Melbourne and Adelaide.

His Gympie concert, An Evening with Stefan, gives music lovers the chance to hear and meet one of Australia's most virtuosic young pianists, composers and performers while celebrating the city's new grand piano.

The concert gets under way in the Civic Centre Heritage Theatre at 7.30pm and will be followed by a light supper.
