Equitable access for all

GYMPIE Region community organisations and those dealing with the public will benefit from a series of information sessions to be held throughout the Region during April and May. The sessions are being coordinated by Gympie Regional Council with the support of About Freedom, a specialist consulting service aimed at creating sustainable and accessible design solutions for homes, businesses and communities.

Gympie Regional Council Mayor, Ron Dyne, said “The information sessions will provide clear, relevant and practical information to community organisations about topics including, social and financial benefits to the whole community of improving accessibility of community infrastructure, a general overview of applicable Australian standards and real life examples of good and poor practice.”

Sessions will commence at 6.30 pm in the following locations:
