End-of-year break-up for OWN

GUNABUL Homestead was the place to be for 62 members of the Older Women's Network on December 1.

The merry group celebrated their Christmas party in style with special guests June Donnelly, president of Queensland OWN, Michele Perrett, wife of Tony Perrett, Member for Gympie and Dulcie Dyne, former mayoress of Gympie.

Homemade sweets were made by the executive as a special gift for everyone.

At the party, the group donated $750 to the Wish List at the Gympie Hospital and another $750 to Little Haven Palliative Care.

The first meeting next year will be on January 12, which will be a friendship morning with a demonstration on how to make a succulent garden.

The craft group of OWN will recommence on January 6, 2017.

For further information contact Lee Hodgson (convener) on 54831415.
