Mackay man suffers stab wound, police declare crime scene

8.30am:

A QUEENSLAND Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition. 

"We transported him and it was recorded that he had a gash to the back of his head," she said. 

A Mackay police spokesman said the gash was believed to be a stab wound.

"It has been declared a crime scene, we have CIB and Scenes of Crime on the way to begin investigations," he said. 

 

7.48am - Emergency services rush to aid of injured man in Eimeo

A MAN in his early 30s is believed to be injured at an Eimeo home.

While it is still uncertain what has occurred, the man has allegedly been hit in the head, according to a QAS spokesperson. 

QAS and Mackay police were called to the scene at 7.36am.
