Emergency services respond to gas leak at Gympie servo

TWO Queensland Fire and Emergency Services vehicles attended a gas leak at the Caltex Woolworths servo on River Rd.

“There was a small gas leak under the bowser. Woolworths implemented their safety procedures but it was just small,” QFES spokesman said.

“We received the original call at 3.45pm and we had the scene cleared just before 5pm. We just waited there as a precaution for the Woolworths contractor they use to respond to these things”.

Queensland Police had the area out the front of the servo blocked off intially.
