Elderly man in hospital after snake bite

A man is in hospital after a snake bite on a property west of Ipswich yesterday.

Queensland Ambulance Service report that the incident occurred at about 12.30pm at Rosewood.

Paramedics attending a property at Blakes Rd treated a man in his 70s following the bite.

He was later transported to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.

The type of snake involved is unknown at this stage.
