Dylan Napa proves he'll fight tooth and nail for team

SYDNEY Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has paid tribute to his front-row partner Dylan Napa after it emerged the Queenslander had three front teeth knocked out in the Anzac Day win over the Dragons.

Napa's reputation as a hard man will grow further as he is set to line up against the Warriors in Auckland on Saturday after having some dental work.

Waerea-Hargreaves said none of his teammates knew of Napa's dental problems and it was left to an official at Allianz Stadium to find the teeth after the game.

"He must have worn his mouthguard in the sheds after the game for us not to notice," the Kiwi international said.

"To lose three teeth and keep playing and for him to not even talk about it, he's the man.

"It's one of the toughest things I've seen. It's a credit to him. He's a tough bugger and you've got to be tough to play this game."

Napa's teeth problems came in his first game back from a high ankle sprain that had forced him out for two weeks.

"It's a credit to him to just play on, and to do it coming back from an injury, and to only have a couple weeks out when for some people the same injury it takes six to eight weeks," Waerea-Hargreaves said.

"We all know he's a tough bugger but it just goes to show how much the team means to him.

"He's put his body on the line and he's put his teeth on the line. Love him, love his attitude."
