TWO people were fined and disqualified from driving for six months when they pleaded guilty in Gympie Magistrates Court this week to driving while disqualified.

Both had been disqualified from driving as a result of an accumulation of demerit points.

Angus Trent Harris, 17, was fined $300 for an offence committed on the Bruce Hwy in Gympie on November 4.

Baden William Gower, 20, was fined $200 for an offence in Brisbane Rd, Gympie, on November 1.

In another driving matter before the court, Kayn Burnet, 22, a Curra fruit picker, was fined $400 and disqualified for one month.

He had pleaded guilty to driving in Glenvale Rd, at Leslie Dam, near Warwick, with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.063% on December 14.

The court was told the offence was detected by police at 3.55am.
