Curra Art Group gets arty with Jenni

AN INTERESTING day of painting was had by members of the Curra Art Group when they attended a workshop by artist Jenni Kelly.

Jenni led the artists through an abstract painting of a few flowers with the theme being an amazing spectacle of colour.

Each artist learnt a variety of techniques in applying the paint to create an individual impression and making every piece unique.

Jenni, who was born in Kerang, Victoria but now resides in Glenview on the Sunshine Coast, is basically a self-taught artist.

Each member of the Curra Art Group who attended the workshop agreed that the experience was exciting, fun and left them all with a feeling of personal achievement.

Jenni's obvious enjoyment in creating and teaching artistic techniques showed through and Glenda John remarked Jenni was one of the best teachers she had ever met, giving freely of her talents and helping others achieve their goals.

The finished pieces from the workshop will soon be on display at Cafe on Reef in the IGA complex.
