Crusaders primed to bounce back

"FRUSTRATED", "annoyed", "too many mistakes" but determined to trust one another despite all of the above.

The Crusaders are beginning to sound like the Blues as they prepare for the match against their old rivals in Christchurch tomorrow night.

Although the Crusaders are some distance from the Auckland team on the Super Rugby table, fifth as opposed to 14th, the seven-time champions won't be adding to their trophy cabinet with repeats of Saturday's surprise loss to the Rebels.

Crusaders captain Richie McCaw said the reasons behind that unacceptable performance had been discussed openly this week.

"There's been some pretty straight talking but you have to keep trusting and believing in the guys you've got," he said.

"Often the difference in getting it right and not isn't major. Last week there were two mistakes, one after the other, two tries, and bang we were chasing the game rather than being in control of it."

Waratahs coach Michael Foley, meanwhile, praised fullback Daniel Halangahu for his performance after the heartbreaking 27-24 defeat against the table-topping Bulls in Sydney last week.

Now he's had to tell him he's been dropped to the bench for the clash against the second-placed Stormers in Cape Town in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bernard Foley replaces Halangahu after missing the past three games with injury.

It's one of four changes Foley has made. Brendan McKibbin returns at halfback, Sitaleki Timani takes over from Kane Douglas at lock while Dave Dennis packs down at No.8 in place of Wycliff Palu.
