CRIME WRAP: $650 stolen in Dalby Leagues Club theft

Theft

A LARGE sum of cash was taken from a man at the Dalby Leagues Club when his wallet was stolen from him.

Dalby police attended the licensed premises on the evening of September 20 after the theft was reported.

The man’s wallet was found in a bin a short time later, with $650 taken from its contents.

Police are investigating the matter.

Driving offences

On September 19 about 9.54am an 18-year-old man was drug tested roadside along the Warrego Hwy in MacAlister on his way to Charleville.

He returned a positive result for a relevant drug, and will be facing Dalby Magistrates Court on November 11.

Moments earlier a 32-year-old man travelling from Toowoomba was issued a fine of $427 and $533 for driving unlicensed and unregistered.

Almost an hour later about 10.30am a 21-year-old man was given the same fines for driving his Toyota while unlicensed and unregistered.

Stolen solar panels

Investigations are continuing into the thefts of solar panels from a property in Kumbarilla between September 12–21.

These panels have been stolen from unmanned sites, with police urging the community to consider installing security measures.
