Crikey! Bindi, Robert and Terri spotted in Blackbutt

BLACKBUTT had a special visit from a couple of Australian celebrities yesterday.

Bindi, Terri and Robert Irwin surprised the Bunyanut Cafe when they stopped in for a bite to eat in the friendly town.

Bunyanut Cafe owner Evelyn Green said the visit was completely unexpected, but it was "thrilling to have them".

"It was really wonderful to have them in the shop, very very special," she said.

Mrs Green said she was a fan of the family and they lived up to their reputation.

"There's not too many people around that don't look up to the Irwin family for what they've done for animals," she said.

"They're just absolutely wonderful people to talk to, super nice."

While it was the first time Bindi stepped food inside the cafe, Mrs Green said Terri and Robert were more regular visitors.

"Terri usually buys our homemade lasagne, and takes it home with her," Mrs Green said.

Bunyanut Cafe worker Georgia Roberts said it was exciting for the shop, but she wasn't as lucky as the shop owner.

"I was here but I didn't see them," she said.

"I kind of came out at the last minute but they seemed friendly."

Bindi was also spotted in St George on Tuesday where she passed her practical driving test.

The 17-year-old posted on social media she took the test in her dad's "giant old ute".

"It was wonderful to take my test in St George and pass the first time," she said.
