Cricketers return after big wet

GYMPIE cricket swings back into action today – fingers crossed- after wet weather stopped all matches last weekend.

In Gympie A grade Valleys will take on Colts at Kozminsky Oval.

Colts were unlucky last week not to get a crack at Wests when the rain robbed them of any chance to get maximum points.

Harlequins and Wests will lock horns at Jack Ison Oval with the Westies hoping to improve on last fortnight’s effort. The Gympie Offroad Gold 11 are hoping to hit winning form before the Christmas break.

They are currently languishing at the bottom of the table, but have a chance to redeem themselves against Caloundra at Albert Park today.

Play starts at the 10.30am.
