Crash mystery

GYMPIE police are appealing for witnesses and information after a Holden Commodore was found crashed along Noosa Rd.

A motorist drove past the vehicle about 3.30pm on Friday and alerted the authorities, but the driver has not been located.

Police said the grey 2005 Commodore sedan crashed just past the Mothar Mountain speedway at the bottom of a hill and into trees off the road.

If you saw the crash or have information about the whereabouts or identity of the driver, police want to hear from you.
