UPDATE: POLICE are at the scene of a single vehicle traffic crash which occurred earlier today in Kybong.

Preliminary information suggests around 1.40pm, a vehicle ran off the Bruce Highway, seriously injuring one man.

The 84-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to Nambour Hospital with serious injuries.

There are no disruptions to the flow of traffic on the Bruce Highway, Kybong at this point.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

 

EARLIER:

EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a single vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy at Jackass Creek in Kybong.

Ambulance officers are at the crash site treating an elderly male driver.

The north-bound driver left the road and crashed into a tree.

Both lanes of the highway are still open and the Forensic Crash unit is on its way to the scene.
