Craig Thomson now facing 154 charges

EMBATTLED MP Craig Thomson has been slapped with additional fraud charges during a brief court appearance in Melbourne Wednesday morning.

Mr Thomson, who was arrested at his Central Coast electorate office late last week, was granted bail to reappear on May 22.

He now faces 154 charges relating to his time as national secretary of the Health Services Union from 2002-07.

The Member for Dobell is accused of misusing union funds for personal expenses, including prostitutes and family travel.

Mr Thomson, who remains suspended from the Labor Party, continues to strenuously deny the allegations.
