Council's presentation series a tender issue

LOOKING to secure a council contract for work, but not sure how to do it?

Next week, Gympie Regional Council is running a series of presentations which will help inform prospective contractors of tendering practices, upcoming opportunities, and how to navigate and register on its online tender portal.

Mayor Mick Curran said the presentations would help provide the region's businesses what they need to ensure they have the chance to make the most from upcoming opportunities.

"I am regularly approached by local businesses on how they can get work from council,” he said.

"This is their big opportunity to hear directly from council's procurement group on how to tender and apply.

"This is another example of council working to promote local business and work with them to ensure a vibrant economy for our region.”

Suppliers and businesses interested are invited to attend the Tendering and Procurement of Council at the Fossickers Room, Gympie Civic Centre.

Sessions will run from 6pm to 7pm on Monday November 28 and Tuesday December 6.

RSVP to Tony McCarthy, Procurement and Stores coordinator on 5481 0880 or at tony.mccarthy@gympie.qld.gov.au to book a place.
