Cop stood down amid theft, drugs allegations

A GOLD Coast police officer has been stood down amid allegations of stealing and being in possession of a dangerous drug.

The 39-year-old Senior Constable from State Crime Command has been suspended from official duty and is currently under investigation.

A statement released today by the Queensland Police Service said the officer's suspension "does not mean the allegations ... have been substantiated".
