POLICE have charged a Northern Territory man, 26, for allegedly ramming a police car along Clematis Street last Wednesday.

Ashley Joseph Megson was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. Police also charged Megson with other offences unrelated to the ramming including seven counts of breaking and entering. One of those charges is the break and enter of a Gympie Chemist. He was also charged with allegedly stealing and entering a dwelling and committing an indictable offence. Megson appeared in Gympie Magistrates Court on Monday and the case was adjourned until October 18.

The other man appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday over break and enter charges.
