Cool pools list: Four of the Coast’s best
From an infinity pool with sweeping views of the Coast to a design similar to that of the Fiji resort Laucala Island frequented by Oprah Winfrey, the Sunshine Coast's coolest pools have been revealed.
Several pools on the Sunshine Coast made the Australia's 100 Cool Pools list, revealed in this weekend's launch of The Courier Mail's new At Home magazine.
A Coolum Beach reno was ranked ninth on the list, mixing it with some of the most amazing designs around.
The custom-designed infinity pool is the star feature at the Pacific Heights Ct luxury home where no expense has been spared to create the ultimate entertainment retreat.
The pool has built-in loungers and a new spa with jet blowers, positioned to soak in the jaw-dropping views from the hinterland to the ocean.
The second Coast property to make the list was 17 Seaview Tce, the mansion owned by a hemp tycoon that made headlines for its eye-watering $80,000 holiday rental price.
The 25m pool at the three-level, eco-friendly home stands out for its design and unrivalled ocean views.
Stonelea at 430 Cooroy Mountain Rd also featured on the list for its stunning sunset views.
Situated on the upper limit of the ridge line on lush Cooroy Mountain, the home features living spaces that open directly onto a terrace beside the 12m-long heated pool.
It has a wet edge, like a waterfall cascading to the forest below, and on the lower level of the house two portholes from the pool filter light into the subterranean media room.
The second Sunshine Beach home to make it onto the list was Sunny Daze at Webb Rd.
The pool is reminiscent of the luxurious glass pool experience at A-list Fiji resort Laucala Island.
The property was last sold by Melbourne IT entrepreneur Danny Wallis for $22 million in 2018 and sits on almost an acre of beachfront land.
