Editorial: Come to Gympie and find what matters

Editorial: AS SOMEONE who only moved to the Gympie region this century, I understand people falling in love with the place.

I did. And if I ever thought I might change my mind, I have only to be reminded of courageous people like Tayla Saunders (see front page) and the support she has received from this wonderful community.

We live in a place where people matter more than they seem to in most places.

People have certainly been good to me here and I know I am not alone in that. I only wish I had known about this region earlier.

But from my former Brisbane perspective, it was just over the Sunshine Coast horizon.

Similarly, The Gympie Times "I Love Gympie Region" caps will raise money for Little Haven, a charity truly worthy of a warm-hearted region.
