Police investigating smashed-up speed camera van

SUNSHINE Coast police are investigating the vandalism of a speed camera van at Alexandra Parade overnight.

A spokesman of the Sunshine Coast Road Policing Unit said the Nambour road policing van was parked at Alexandra Headland when a paver was thrown at the windscreen, smashing it.

It happened about 9.30pm.

The spokesman said police would begin investigations today by visiting nearby businesses and buildings to check CCTV footage of the area.

Facebook page Sunshine Coast Police Locations reported there was a high police presence between Maroochydore to Mooloolaba about 10pm last night.
