Classics set for Noosa this weekend
REGARDED as the East Coast's most prestigious all-makes show, this Sunday's Noosa Classic Car Show is a must-see for local car enthusiasts.
Hosted by the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club, organisers expect to have over 200 cars on display of all marques and vintage.
Included is an original 1922 Bugatti Type 13 which will be one of the oldest on show, while Pacific Jaguar is showing box-fresh moderns in the shape of its F-Type sports car and all-new XE sedan.
The new Jags will join a host of classics as the British manufacturer will be Marque of the Year, so a bevvy of XKs and E-Types are entered.
Previous years has also welcomed race cars, American muscle, hot rods, European sports and tourers and the best of Australian classics too. A few custom and classic bikes will also make an appearance this year.
Noosa Car Club spokesman Noel St John-Wood said he expected the Noosa show - near shopping strip Hastings St - to be its biggest ever.
"It's the atmosphere that keeps bringing people back, plus the diverse range of cars, the location and all the enthusiasts to talk to," he said.
