City-proud vandals strike a blow for Ipswich

IPSWICH'S cheekiest vandals have covered up the word "Brisbane" on a billboard designed to promote the state capital.

Motorists woke up yesterday to find the "Give me Brisbane any day" billboard on Brisbane Rd in Dinmore had become an ad for Ipswich.

Goodna councillor Paul Tully called the move "Ipswich strikes back" on Twitter, while Brisbane Marketing said it was proud of Ipswich.
