GYMPIE will have a strong presence at the NBHA World Open and Junior Championships in America this year.
While Kathy Kunst lines up with the world’s best in the open championships, brother and sister Tamika and Jayden Anderson will be taking part in the junior event.
Tamika qualified to land a place in the Australian team while her brother received a rare wildcard to attend.
Fundraising has been well underway for many months now and the trio is looking forward a NBHA cent auction – a major plank in their fundraising efforts.
Tamika and Jayden’s mother Kerrie was keen to let the Gympie public know of the event.
The cent auction will take place at the Senior Citizens Hall on April 24.
The doors open at 1pm and there will be food and drinks available to keep those looking for a big win refreshed.
Major prizes up for grabs include:
First prize – one night’s stay at the Kingfisher Bay Resort at Fraser Island, including free barge tickets.
Second prize – Gold City Pests voucher valued at $230.
“There are heaps of great prizes kindly donated by all the businesses in Gympie,” Kerrie said.
“Everyone has been so generous and we appreciate it very much.”
