Celtic fundraiser for Yasi

MULTI-award winning band Wheelers and Dealers, one of the most popular bands on the Australian folk circuit, is bringing its distinctive musical magic to Gympie and Kenilworth next week.

The Celtic Crossings tour includes performances at Kenilworth Bowls Club at 7pm on Monday and Gympie Pines Golf Club at 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The band's repertoire is drawn from Celtic tunes and songs, songs that tell tales of love and celebration, of grief and longing, of emigration and adventure. You can feel the sorrow of a drover's wife, travel with a rogue Irishman or sit outside a rough hut in the Appalachian Mountains listening to the fiddle dance.

Proceeds from the tour will go towards flood and Yasi disaster relief and the band will be donating a percentage of CD sales.
