Caught next to G-Spot

A DEDICATED security guard ‘got his man' yesterday, after a thief ran from the Centro Shopping Centre. The 27-year-old man allegedly stole groceries and liquor before fleeing on foot with a shopping trolley.

He was observed running down the Bruce Highway about 5.30pm and disappearing down an easement, with the security guard in hot pursuit.

He then re-appeared near Hungry Jacks and again crossed the busy highway, but this time without the shopping trolley, just a backpack.

The security guard then cornered him in the vacant lot between Ray White Rural and the G-Spot until police arrived.

The man was given a notice to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court.
