Cattle euthanised after truck rolled on highway

UPDATE: Traffic is now moving on the Warrego Hwy at Gatton following a truck rollover earlier today.

A cattle truck rolled just after 5pm, causing traffic congestion.

All cattle have now been removed from the vehicle and many had to be euthanised.

The driver has been cut free from the truck and transported to hospital.

Motorists should still expect lengthy delays.

EARLIER: Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are working to free a man trapped in his vehicle after it rolled east of Toowoomba.

Paramedics are currently treating the man on scene for a leg injury.

The cattle truck rolled on the eastbound lanes of the Warrego Hwy at Gatton just after 5pm.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Early reports a cattle truck has rolled on the Warrego Hwy at Gatton, near the McDonalds.

The driver is trapped in the vehicle and there are reports cattle are across the highway.
