Woman's lucky escape after car flips on roof

UPDATE: A 40-year-old woman was transported to Toowoomba Hospital on Sunday afternoon with minor injuries after crashing the car she was driving, which landed on its roof.

The incident took place at the intersection of Glenvale Rd and Greenwattle St around 1pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Rescue station officer Stewart Dundas said the woman's injuries could have been a lot worse.

BREAKING: Emergency services are still at the scene of a single-vehicle crash at Glenvale.

A woman, 40, was lucky to receive only minor injuries after her car crashed, rolled and landed on its roof at 1.48pm on the corner of Glenvale Rd and Greenwattle St.

Initial reports suggested it was a two-vehicle crash and the female driver received cuts to her face and arms.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Rescue station officer Stewart Dundas said the driver was "very lucky" to receive no further injuries due to state of the car.

"The nature of injuries are minor at this stage but will QAS (Queensland Ambulance Service) will attend to that," he said.

She will soon be transported to Toowoomba Hospital.
