Campaign urges Aussies to celebrate Australia Day II

TO MAKE up for this year's dismal Australia Day that kept most people inside and sheltered from wild weather, Queensland is giving people a second chance.

The State Government and Tourism Queensland have kicked off an advertising campaign urging Australians to celebrate Australia Day II to make up for ex-cyclone Oswald's wrath on January 26.

The campaign will encourage people to celebrate the national day on February 23 and holiday in Queensland.

"Lambassador" and sports personality Sam Kekovich is the Australia Day II ambassador.
