Businesswoman has hunger for knowledge and drive
A HUNGER for knowledge and the drive to "just do it" are the traits Jellaine Ross puts her success down to.
The Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year shared her business story at the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Industry's business breakfast last week.
Ms Ross started her fashion and cosmetic company Cherry Blooms at just 25 after becoming jaded of her career in the advertising industry.
Starting out selling her handbag tool kit at markets, she moved up to wholesale trade shows, where her business really took off.
Her handbag toolkit was handpicked to be included in the Golden Globe and Oscar gift bags.
Ms Ross said she felt that pursuing a career she wasn't passionate about would be settling in life.
"From early on, I just wanted to be a businesswoman," she said.
"I'm always learning, I'm always studying people who are doing what I want to do.
"I'm very goal oriented - I'm always writing them down. (With my goals) I have pure clarity…and intention that it will happen."
