Business tug-of-war at King of the Mountain Festival

LOCAL businesses are encouraged to participate in a fun new event at this year's King of the Mountain Festival on Sunday, July 27.

Businesses are invited to enter a mixed team of five in the Raine and Horne Corporate Tug-of-War, with Cooroy Bendigo Bank, Pomona IGA and Wimmers Softdrink among the teams already signed up.

"The Wimmers King of the Mountain Festival offers a fun-filled atmosphere with competitions, family entertainment, heritage markets and amusement rides," spokeswoman Heather Manders said.

"The day is jam-packed with events including the 3km family fun run, primary school relay, mountain dash, skate park competition, jam session and the tug-of-war."

The main race of the event, the International Mountain Challenge, is scheduled to start at 3pm, with nominations opening on May 14 and closing on July 16.

Registrations for the Corporate Tug-of-War are $50 per team, with inquiries to 0411 114 077.
