Business growth hot topic at forum

LOOK to the future.

Think outside the square and be open to new ideas.

These were just some of the messages delivered at the first Gympie Region Business and Community Forum at the Gympie Civic Centre on Wednesday.

The panel of guest speakers covered a wealth of topics, including marketing, business planning, seeking funding, the importance of networking and tips and tricks about realistic and achievable goal setting.

Keynote speaker Karen Schmidt from Let’s Grow! helped attendees focus on what they were doing well, what they needed to stop doing and what they should persevere with to achieve growth in their business or organisation.

She encouraged people to pick an aspect of their business or organisation, focus on that area, feel resilient and enthusiastic and forward- think every day.

Attendees appreciated the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, and to network with fellow business people and members of valued community organisations in the Gympie region.
