Seven fire units attend bushfire on Capricorn Coast

3.30pm: SEVEN fire crews attended a bushfire on the Capricorn Coast today.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire has been extinguished.

The fire broke out about 11.30am near Ingrey Rd, Bungundarra.

The spokeswoman said the units will patrol the fire area until 3.45pm and then leave it in the hands of the property owner.

She said the fire burnt mostly thick scrub.

11.50am: QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services are racing to a Bungundarra address following reports of a grass fire near homes.

Initial reports suggest the fire, which broke out about 11.30am, is in the vicinity of 147 Ingrey Rd on the Capricorn Coast.

One fire crews has arrived at the scene with further crews en-route.
